Foster's Castle
Bell's Isle was the location of ‘Foster’s Castle', a 19th century manor house, and home to Arthur and Arabella Foster. The venue of great parties and affairs during the 1800's, only portions of the manor house currently remain standing; the island has been reclaimed by the trees and bushes that Foster once planted.

Pro Tips
The par 4, redesigned by Pat Ruddy in 1992, demands a good drive to carry the drain.
It is best to favour the right from the tee as the landing area on the left is surrounded by a bank of fairway bunkers that catches most shots to that side. The long tiered green, protected by bunkers on all sides, awaits a good second shot which can vary by three clubs depending on pin placement. One of the most difficult holes on the course a par is a great result.
